Plans for the Backcountry of Yosemite

It is hard to believe, but Curtis and I have been living with Yosemite as our “backyard” for a little over 2 years now! Sometimes we like to fancy ourselves old pros, people who have visited many time a year and taken hundreds of photos. But then I looked at the map.

Over our two years here we have only went on 2 backpacking adventures in the park! This is rather like gross negligence on our part because it is well known that both the majority of the park is only accessible by back country hiking, and also we backpacking would mean leaving the majority of the tourist traffic behind (and the majority of my flashbacks to what I read in Death in Yosemite, silly tourists). Thus it is my offical goal of 2012 to at the very least squeeze 2 more backpacking trips in the park in.
